So, like, all you dudes and ladies on the network. Got a question for you.

[It's that kinda new blond kid. ...With a flying squirrel on his head. It's about as big as his head, really, and hugging it like it's pretending to be a hat or something.]

So, I got this egg, and it hatched, right? Into the really super-cool dude currently sittin' on my head.

["Mol!" Apparently the squirrel is taking that as a compliment.]

But, like, are squirrels supposed to come out of eggs? I thought it was just birds that did that.

Actually, all of th'pokémon hatch like that, whether it's somethin' that'd normally lay eggs or not. [And after the cheerful answer, he turns more thoughtful.]

Kinda like how they can 'parently cross-breed whether they're th'same type'f creature or not...

Whoa, dude, seriously? Cross-breed?

Yeah; not sure how it works exactly, but 'parently y'can get eggs from some pretty different parents, an'there's these pink shapeshifting blob critters called Ditto that can crossbreed with pretty much anything!

Well, er, yeah? I mean, I dunno exactly how it works with Pokémon, but yeah, uh, eggs happen when you've got a guy an' a girl an' they're sort of apparently in some kind'f category that matches.

Guy and a girl, huh? Like, wonder if any of them're in the same category Girl is.

Probably? I mean, I don't think I've heard of somethin' yet that COULDN'T breed here. Sometimes it'll sorta make sense - like Bas an'Fusuhime are both kinda dogs - but sometimes it doesn't...

I'd bet someone who'd been here a while who was a Breeder'd probably know more, I've never had t'think too much about it.

[He's also been unwittingly lucky that before Baskerville and Fusuhime, he didn't actually HAVE any in the same egg group, but he doesn't know that yet. :D ]

Maybe I'll ask a Breeder about how it works some time, then! Like, that'd be pretty cool, if Girl had eggs.
