Hey Yui! I visited the music store in Goldenrod today! Like, you've gotta see it! They've got a huge selection of instruments! A whole wall covered in guitars! It's awesome.

And check this out!

[Kurow pulls out... a flute. A nice, wooden flute, good quality, and an actual flute, not one of those cheap recorders you give to elementary school kids. Freshly purchased, by the looks of it.

And it's got a nice tone, too, as demonstrated when he plays a verse of this.]

It ain't my old one, but it's a pretty sweet instrument, right?

[With practiced grace, he twirls the flute in his hand like a baton.]

Oh yeah, I've missed this. So, any other musicians out there? We should totally form a band or something.

I would, but like, it doesn't work here for some reason.

... That's right. The anti-magic toxin in Johto is really, really strong, so.. your magic probably doesn't work either, right? Just like most of Maria's magic.

That's horrible. That they can't even let people use their magic like this.. If only Maria knew who to talk to about it so they could make it stop.

No idea. Like, it's probably 'cause of who or whatever brought everybody here, I'd guess.

But we don't know where to find that person, right? So Maria still can't go to talk to them..

Maybe they'll show themselves someday.

Uu-..! The moment they do, Maria will make sure to tell them what's on Maria's mind!

Bet there'd be lots of people lookin' to do just that. I'd sure like to talk to 'em myself, too.

Maybe that's why they never pop up then..?

Since they would get wa-y too busy with all the people wanting to talk to them!

Maybe they should, like, schedule meeting times for everybody or something.

But some people are mad at them, right? Maria doesn't mind being here, but.. uu-, some people get really sad or mad about it.

Some people've got lots of important stuff to do back home, so 'course they'd be upset about it.

Naah, I finished everything I was supposed to do back in Nippon. I'm thinking of Johto as an opportunity, y'know? To have a really great time.

Maria is the same..! [ She laughs, apparently pretty glad to find someone similar. ]

Maria wants to have a lot of fun in Johto before going home! Want to meet a lot of new people and friends, a lot of Pokémon.. Every day should be fun!

Exactly! Like, everyone should try to have as much fun as they can!
